Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Welcome to Task App. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Task App platform, website, and services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Task App (“Task App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Task App is
Task App is an invite-only marketplace and payments platform that connects businesses (“Clients”) with independent freelance professionals (“Freelancers”) for tasks in areas such as AI, automation, marketing, and operations. Task App provides the platform that enables Clients and Freelancers to find one another, communicate, agree on scope, and process payments. Task App is not the employer of any Freelancer and is not a party to the agreements made between Clients and Freelancers.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- Access to Task App is invite-only. We may accept, decline, or revoke access at our discretion.
- You are responsible for the information you provide, for activity under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure.
3. Clients and Freelancers
Clients and Freelancers are solely responsible for negotiating, agreeing to, and performing the terms of any project, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees. Task App does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any project, nor the accuracy of any listing or profile. Any dispute regarding a project is between the Client and the Freelancer, though we may, at our discretion, help facilitate a resolution.
4. Fees & payments
- Joining Task App is free. There are no monthly fees and no contract-initiation fees.
- Task App charges a workspace fee of 5% on payments made to Freelancers through the platform.
- Payments are processed through our third-party payment providers. You agree to their terms in addition to these Terms.
- You agree to pay all amounts due and authorize us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. You will not: violate any law; infringe others’ intellectual property; post false, misleading, or harmful content; circumvent the platform to avoid fees; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or use the Service to harass others.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, and content, is owned by Task App and protected by law. Work product created by a Freelancer for a Client is governed by the agreement between those parties. You retain rights to the content you submit, and you grant Task App a limited license to host and display it as needed to operate the Service.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any Client or Freelancer will meet your expectations.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Task App will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid to Task App in the three months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
